Actress Ankita Lokhande is best familiar to the audience for her starring role in the long-running hit soap opera tv show Pavitra Rishta (2009-`14). Her performance in the series earned Ankita multiple Star Guild Awards and Indian Telly Awards. Subsequently, the actress appeared in the horror miniseries Ek Thhi Naayka (2013) before taking a hiatus from acting.

In 2019, Ankita made her feature film debut with a pivotal supporting role in the Bollywood historical drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, where she essayed the role of Jhalkari Bai. Her 2020 release includes Baaghi 3. In 2023, she participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 17, where she finished as the 3rd runner-up. She then featured as Yamunabai in Swatantra Veer Savarkar (2024).
